Dissertation | History and Theory

My dissertation investigates the concept of home through a psychological lens, and how inadequate housing can affect mental wellbeing. I explored psychological, social, phenomenological and developmental explanations; high rise housing and its psychological effects; and housing projects across the globe, with their benefits or hinderance on communities. This allowed me to look at interior design through a new lens, in order to inform our approach towards designing socially and culturally sensitive housing.
